Scouting It Out

So even though it's still months before our trip, I figured its time for another post. Andy was able to catch a game in Washington last week, as the Nats hosted the Mets (not quite an exhilarating match up this year, huh?). He said it was a cool stadium, but no one was there. Too bad that in such a nice city and a brand new park, no one goes to those games.

I also caught my first game of the season last night at the Friendly Confines as the Sox hosted the Oakland A's. Great pitching performance by Josh Beckett (7 k's in 7+ innings I believe) and Boston won 8-3 to stay 2 and 1/2 back of New York (I'm pretty sure they won last night as well). Got me really excited for the trip and made me wonder how other parks will compare with Fenway. I'm not going to lie, I hope the newer parks have a little more leg room than the seats here in Boston, which aren't too comfortable with my 6'5" frame. But given all the games I've seen there and the fact that it's Fenway, I'd say it's a fair trade off.

Enough for now...we're still looking for contacts for places to stay, so if you live in an MLB city be sure to let us know.
